Holy shit

I just got accused of committing an actual crime. No, seriously, read this shit from Greg Laden. Money shot:

(John is also famous for an ill fated botched attempt at a primitive sort of denial of service attack on my blog, which is funny because as an IT professional that makes him bot unethical and incompetent. Oh and his book is kind of lame too. I much prefer this one.)

I have, literally, no idea of what the fuck this prat is on about. But I do know that I sure as shit didn't try to DOS his fucking site. First, it's moronic. If I have a problem with someone, I'm just going to call them a fucking doucherag and be done with it. Second, it's not kind of, it's not sort of, it is COMPLETELY and utterly illegal to do what he accuses me of, and I have kind of a problem with breaking the law. As in, I really, actively try to not do it. In fact, I can't even come up with where I posted for my "minions", (whatever the fuck that would mean, dear lord, save me from minions) to go flood his fucking site. First of all, anyone reading this site should laugh at me were I to do that, secondly, it's just a ridiculous concept.

As far as the rest, yes, yes, I beat my dog, I insist I have the right to do whatever the fuck I want, whenever the fuck I want, all the rest of his fucking stupid diatribes. The one about me hoping no one finds this site when i'm looking for a gig is precious. Dude, how else do you think people in my world know of me? Seriously, you're kind of stupid if you think I'd try to hide what is now an eight-year-old collection of my brain spasms. I retreat from nothing I've said here. Get over yourself. You think that scripting book sucks? whatever dude, it kept me in beer and hard drives for a while, and it even finally sent me my first royalty check. Although I doubt you actually read it.

For the science-minded, Laden did the equivalent of me accusing him of falsifying data in a paper, only with the difference of he wouldn't go to jail for it, and to be honest, it would take the expert opinions of people FAR more competent in that arena than I and a HUGE preponderance of data for me to make that accusation. No matter what I think of Laden personally, not even at this moment would I casually accuse someone who is a scientist of that. I think he's a fuckwit, but there are in fact lines, even in my world.

it is however, nice to know that someone who is so terribly concerned about "proper treatment" has no problem with this kind of crap.

I don't want revenge, I don't even want anyone to go comment on his tripe about this. What I want is actual proof or an apology. As far as Laden himself, right now, if he was on fire across the street I'd not try to put him out, it would be a waste of time and good urine.

Even I, i can't imagine accusing someone of this just as a way to get back at them for a rude comment or twelve.
