This was going to be far snarkier

I'm of course, talking about the fucking twihard freakout over the momentary presence of a PepisCo blog on Science blogs.

I had the whole thing written, it was going to be pithy, and sarcastic, great imagery, the whole bit. But then I realized I was going to waste it all on the mob mentality of a bunch of elitist peckersnots with their panties in a twist over what MIGHT happen if an eeeeebul corporate blog was allowed on their bastion of purity and high thinkery.

Fuck that shit, they get this half-assed post instead. You know, for a group who decries conclusions without evidence, and who is quick to point out every time the fundie mob mentality is used to harass atheists or those who correctly support evolution, it was really quite appalling to see them shit, and in huge, overwrought, immature streams, all over their supposed ideals. But, when it's your ox getting gored, and you're the one pulling the rope instead of having your neck in the noose, well, you can't let stupid bullshit like rationality and fair play get in the way of good, clean, lynch mob fun.

But jesus fuck, what a bunch of goddamned drama queens you all are, with your crying about daaaaarknes. Everyone knows Pepsi's not the darkness. Only The Darkness is the darkness.

However, there was one bright spot in all this. Abbie, aka ERV, not only kept her shit about her in all this, but did a really good job of skewering the rank hypocrisy from PZ, Orac, and all the rest. Good job Abbie, you're the only clear thinker in all of this. Also, a special shoutout, aka, kick in the taint for Orac for this bit of fuckwittery:

It would have been one thing if ERV had simply said she disagreed and stated why, but she went out of her way to show contempt for those expressing their concerns, and for that it's highly tempting to go all Orac on her.

Ooooh...what a fucking threat...to have an imaginary person who's wannabe raconteur go "all Orac" on you. Stop belieiving your own press, it's rotting your brain. (Is it just me, or is threatening to 'go all Orac on her' as fucking stupid as me threatening to "go all bynkii on your ass"? because it sounds pretty fucking stupid to me. But I could be wrong.)

Great job Scienceblogtards. You showed that when the chips are down, you're just as bad as the AoA and creationist cretins you oh-so-smugly look down your nose at.
