Over the last few months, I've been gradually tuning up my Cacti implementation to be of more use to me. One of the important things was to get better data on hardware statuses on my Mac servers. So, I gradually integrated some ipmitool work into Cacti. This took weeks, because it's just tedious.
I've also set up graphs for the SNMP hardware status OIDs on the Mac Pros, along with just some generic stuff for Mac OS X 10.5 Macs that aren't on "server" hardware.
However, in the spirit of the way things should work, gentle reader, you don't have to replicate this work. You can just download the host file exports here. They include all the data source and graph template work I had to do by hand.
Of course, if you aren't using Cacti, then this is not so useful, and once I'm out of Macworld Conference & Expo, I'll talk more about the low-level stuff I'm doing to get ipmitool to talk to Cacti. Until then, enjoy!
