This morning's coffee reading

If you're wondering about the correctness of Apple moving to Intel, read the stuff coming out of the IDF. Quad-core laptop chips and 8-core desktops. If Steve had personally given the entire G5 design team a rimjob, they couldn't have gotten that beast into a laptop, and an 8 core G5? Jesus, can you even ship LN2 without some kind of special license?

According to InformationWeek, Psystar has gotten two extensions to its response date to Apple's lawsuit. Having been personally involved in a long running (almost a decade) suit, extensions, while not a solid predictor, are usually not a great sign. If Psystar was as ready to fight Apple as they say, they would have had any number of responses more ready than this. I also think that Apple may not run its suit based on the EULA, but rather copyright law, since Psystar is openly admitting they modify the OS to run on their cheap crap. (Note: If the only thing you care about is up front cost, you were never buying a Mac anyway, the fucking OS is too expensive for you. Also, Mac devs expect to be paid for their work. Another strike for the cheap fucker crowd.)

Michael Arrington is the biggest example of why New Media Douchebags should be openly mocked, and their inane opinions ignored. Son, if you're basing your workflow around Mobileme or were basing it around .Mac, you were a fucking idiot anyway, and any opinions you have beyond "I like shoelaces" should be ignored. His entire thesis is based around the zombie myth that "A Long Time Ago, Apple Products Never Failed". Well, bullshit. Apple has never, ever had a product line that didn't have problems. The Apple II had heat issues it's entire life, the Mac II line never had a decent power supply, if you fully loaded a Quadra 900 with RAM, you couldn't have a RAM disk, non-32-bit clean 030's, cheap fucking memory clips, on and on and on. You show me an Apple product line, I'll show you something fucked up. So his reasoning is stupid. Wait, Mike Arrington, that's assumed. An example of his "Apple quality sucks" lines:

My main travel computer, a seven month old Macbook Pro, had a keyboard failure two weeks ago. Apple repaired it and I’m using it now.
O noes.

If you expect perfection from Apple or anything on this planet, hell in this universe, you're fucking doomed. Error is inevitable. Get over yourself. I'm waiting for Arrington to pull the second standard New Media Douchebag move and bitch that Apple should treat him better because he is teh blogz0r!

Scoble said something stupid, go yell at him. (No, I didn't actually READ his site. That's a prediction that proves the error in my "error is inevitable" statement. Scoble always says something stupid on his site, he's like gravity. 9.8 stupid statements/sec2.)

See what happens when I'm caffeinated early? I start reading shit.

Good morning, sunshine! What a great idea for a regular morning blogcolumn - your Rudepundit schtick for all things Mac/Apple.

Low and I am blessed. Bow before me since I have never had a problem with Apple hardware.

~cough~ That I didn't cause myself. ~cough~

Although sometimes their software kinda sucks ass. Oh I forgot I had to have the fans replaced in my iMac a couple months ago. Crap. Hmm I should probably blog about that.

Heh, I have 2 words for every douchebag pining for the glory days of Apple...Performa 6200. Suck on that shitty motherboard that keeps TCP/IP from working properly (you heard me).

Shoelaces? I always assumed that whiny, lazy stupid douchebags like Arrington and Scoble love their velcro! I'd be shocked if any of them was capable of tying a decent shoelace knot.

Also, I just had to replace the hard drive on my Rev. A Macbook Pro because it ran out of space. Damn Apple and their drives with finite storage space! It makes me want to run out and buy a Zune!

Wait...
