It had to happen. A Class-Action Lawsuit about iPhone 3G Issues. Why? Well from Ars, some bint in Alabama, Jessica Smith, has her tits in a knot over the iPhone 3G:
She alleges that she and all members of the class have sustained monetary and economic injuries due to the purchase of the defective iPhone 3G, and that Apple breached its express warranty that the iPhone would perform adequately on 3G. "Defendant was and continues to be unjustly enriched at the expense of Plaintiff and Class members," reads the complaint.Sigh.
It's not that I don't think there are problems, but a lawsuit? How does that accelerate the repair process? Not at all. What happens when a fix comes out? (It's tech, there's always a fix) I'm at the stage where I think before starting a class-action lawsuit, you should be willing to get kicked in the kidneys first. Let's see how important it really is.
Oh, and yes, I DO feel smug about still having a land line. Cell phones still aren't reliable, get over it.
Of course, the dorkosphere echo chamber is firing up, centered around Mike Arrington's whinefest. Sigh.
Just so people don't think I blindly hate on AppleInsider. Okay, so I do, but this one is interesting, talking about Windows Mobile development vs. iPhone dev.
Sun getting bought by HP would not be a bad thing, esp. for Sun customers. HP makes nice stuff and gets engineering. PTB is still thinking he can give everything away and magically make money. Someone needs to make him stop watching Smurfs reruns.
