Goddamn Idiots

Dear FreeTard morons: Pull your heads out of Stallman's ass, it's rotting what's left of your brains.

Read Angry Drunk's writeup on this, he says everything I would have.

The morons trying to say Apple locking up the iPhone is why you can't use it like a PC or a Mac are fucking PRICELESS, and a perfect example of why they should all have their bodily orifices sealed shut.

Gonna comment here, cuz why should my webserver have all the fun. My favorite meme that they throw out is that there would have been no progress in Computer Science without the mighty Free Software Foundation. It's like they think that Stallman sprung forth, Athena-like, from the brow of Zeus to deliver the modern computer to us savages; who had before made do with clay tablets and ENIACs.

Yeah...I love that shit. As though most of the critical pioneering work wasn't done with tons of money and resources from the ebul gubnament and corporate overlords.

oh wait...

I remember listening to the auction where our beloved government (you know: government of Big Business, by Big Business, and for Big Business) sold off the spectrum that these cellphones operate on, the undivided property of the American People, for $50K here, $100K there, when these pirates expected to make untold billions of dollars using it. It's as if they bought public property for nothing (like the western 2/3 of the country, but that's another rant,) built roads on it, and slapped on a $100 a mile toll. They even make it illegal for you to walk cross-country to get anywhere. Meanwhile, the Free Automobile Foundation's response to this situation is: "Cars should be free! But anyway, don't buy a Ford, because their radios won't play my favorite station, which is just a little off the standard dial!" The price of cars is the problem, they think? Bullshit! Get out there in your cars and take back the fucking highway!

Fucking God, do the Republicans pay these jokers to rant about irrelevant crap to divert our attention from them turning us into serfs and peons?

I kinda lost track of the car analogy, but $100k? Hah! Here in the UK, we flogged off the 3G spectrum for billions, which eventually resulted in the biggest single loss for a UK company in history, when Vodafone wrote off the value of their share.

Some of the dissociative arguments these FSF people make reminds me a bit of Greenpeace's campaign against Apple. A nice big target to lob cheap shots at.

On a related note, did you see the brief OpenMoko phone usability review that John Gruber linked to?

No surprises there.

I notice you enjoyed yourself on the Angry Drunk website. I particularly enjoyed the bit where you were called a sock-puppet.
