Digging the hole deeper

With a fucking steamshovel.

So, no big surprise, the dingalings at the FSF replied to my post calling them a bunch of douchebag cultists.'

Here it is, from Matt Lee, in its entirety:

I’m Matt Lee, campaigns manager at the Free Software Foundation.

We have asked people to go to Apple stores and show Apple’s staff their opposition to Apple’s DRM. Describing this with terms such as “denial of service” and “disruption” is untrue.

When people go one by one to a store and tell the staff what they think, that’s not an attack. When Apple implements DRM, when Apple deactivates unlocked iPhones, that’s an attack.

“Voting with your feet” means individually rejecting DRM. Of course you should do that, but acting collectively is stronger than acting individually. The movie companies organize, the record companies organize, and a large company such as Apple is lots of people who are organized to achieve an aim which in this case is unjust.

To overcome them, we must organize too. It would be a shame if DRM prevails because we artificially limited ourselves to individual action in response to a well-planned attack on our freedom.

So if you recognize DRM as a threat to your freedom, please participate in this and other protests. If even 5 protestors visit a
store in a day, the protest will be a success there, but we cannot take that much participation for granted.

Of course, I'm not the only one writing about the FSF pinheads. mj over at cimota.com got a drive-by stupid attack from Matt Lee in the comments on his post, "FSF: easy targets". Here's Matt's post there in its entirety:

Compare and contrast Matt's response to my post and mj's. Well, compare at least, because there's no contrast. Copy, paste, pump & dump, Matt's on his way to the next site. Not only is Matt a mindless gnu-ome, but he can't even be bothered to actually write individual responses, even though mj and I have quite different ways of expressing our similar opinions of the FSF's planned human DOS attack on Apple Genius Bars.

Man, if that's how the FSF really works, no wonder HURD is still in the future along with flying zeppelin cities and food pills.

Lame, and yet, unsurprising.

Basically the fretards are just jealous and want iPhones but they can't because it is against their religion.

If they don't like DRM, they should take it up with the RIAA and record companies that insist on it, rather than Apple, who has no choice in the matter.

I wonder if we'll see any arrests made as a result of this. I can easily see freetards refusing to leave private property. I'm less sure about Apple calling the police in on them.

Evidently Matt is either spamming RMS' comments without attribution or has ghostwritten RMS' email to linux-elitists.
