Oh, and in "yet another great author dying" news, Robert Asprin, creator of both the "Thieves' World" and "MythAdventure" series, died on May 22nd of this year.
I'm particularly bummed because I had been a fan of "MythAdventures" for 25 years now.
However, when you die, doing so quietly in bed whilst reading Terry Pratchett is not a bad way to go.

I was to have finally met him this weekend... he was scheduled to be the author guest of honor at Marcon in Columbus, OH, where my band was performing. The Friday night open circle turned into a wake for Bob, led by his friends in the Dorsai Irregulars. There were stories... and silliness... and Tully. I think he would have approved.
He'll be missed.

Why is it I seem to like all the same things you do?
Or, wait a minute... maybe YOU like all the same things _I_ do!

NOOOOOOOO!!
No! No! No! No! No! No! No!
I have no better words than that, dammit...
And just the other night my 10yo was asking me to pick back up reading her "Myth-Directions". We'll be doing that, By God.
