He just doesn't get it

Dubya's solution to high gas prices? Try to push the Saudis into releasing more oil.

What's his reasoning?

Okay, yes, it's "Stupid", but I mean specifically. Okay here's an example:

He asked Abdullah for an injection of oil supply to help ease the pain. "High energy prices are going to cause countries like mine to accelerate our move to alternative energy," he said he told the king.
Hey stupid! We should be doing that anyway. Fucking hell, I can't wait until this nincompoop is out of office. McCain sucks the same fundie cock that Bush does, but at least he can occaisionally put two thoughts together, so at worst, we still come out ahead after the elections.

Of course, Bush shows what he's really after...more domestic drilling:

"It's not enough. It's something but it doesn't solve our problem," Bush said. "One of the interesting things about American politics is, those who are screaming the loudest for increased production from Saudi Arabia are the very same people who are the fighting the fiercest against domestic exploration, against the development of nuclear power and against expanding refining capacity."
No, you idiot, we're against power that leaves tons of radioactive waste that effectively lasts forever, and we're against actively ignoring alternatives to fossil fuels, just because it keeps your wallet fat.

Has this man ever had any experience with logic or critical thought, or has be been a puppet from the womb?

And after Dubya kept up that drumbeat of lies that diverted the American people's anger from Saudi Arabia, our real enemy, and got them to go along with attacking Iraq instead, they can't even ramp up their oil production for a few months, leading up to the election? I know the Saudi Royal family has OWNED the Bush family for 50 years, but jeez....
