I love .Mac

There, I said it. You know why?

I'm at my in-laws in Orlando for Xmas, but my MacBook is in the shop in KC. It should be ready when I get out. But for now, I'm jumping on their Powerbook every so often.

Normally, this would be a PITA, have to set stuff up, etc. With .Mac, I don't need to carry my settings with me or any of that. Jump on, set up my own account, open up the .Mac control panel, pick what I want to sync, and BAM, it syncs. Got my bookmarks, email accounts and settings, address book, and the rest. Pretty damned effortlessly.

The space is nice too. But really...is that worth a hundred bucks or so a year to me? Considering that in the last week, I've had to use that facility about 5 times...yes. Yes it is.

LOVE .Mac.

Warning for Notes users: The commenting system uses HTML.
I know this will be scary for some of you, especially Notes fans. However, open standards, rah-rah.
If you want to use less-than or greater-than signs, or other similar charachters that HTML reserves,
you'll simply have to learn to do it the HTML way. Luckily, HTML is kind of popular, no matter what
your re-educators have told you, and you can easily find help on the intertubes.
