Adobe: Killing you a little more every day

While I am really glad that Adobe released a security patch for Flash, could someone...anyone please get them to STOP USING FRIGGIN' INSTALLER VISE? It makes *distributing* said patch a few orders of magnitude harder than it should be.

Oh wait, that's right, Adobe doesn't think Macs exist in more than groups of 5 in graphics departments.

Ow...I rolled my eyes too far, and they cramped.

Just a few years ago I called Adobe with a Photoshop problem and was told they did not support networked Macs. Period.

Seems not too much has changed ;-).

Step 1: Convince MindVision to stop producing a Mac product.
Step 2: Delete all installations and installation media of Installer VISE
Step 3: Jesus returns

Basically, it ain't happening.

Roger that, even using JAMF Composer to re-package Adobe stuff it's still a nightmare...

Just broke a Design Suite install pushing out one measly Acrobat update!

My frustration overfloweth, violence will be performed!

Off topic, but why on earth are the section heds on your right sidebar underlined when THEY'RE NOT LINKS!?

Underlined means LINK on the interwebs, try un-underlining and use bold.

Other than that, I love your rants, keep them coming!

As do some others of us, but I read it almost completely through NNW. No comments, no point in clicking through.

CAJ:

Um, no, I like my layout the way it is. Underlining MUST ONLY BE LINK is only for people who haven't heard of recent developments. Like CSS.

or the 21st century.

Hey John,

So, how DO you mark a link, if not by using underlining? Should we just, like, click-er-ama?

John

JOhn, if yo read CAJ's complaint, it's that I use underlining OUTSIDE of linking, which, in his world Must Not Happen.

Bah.

As long as it's reasonably clear, I don't care HOW you identify them.
